Chief Financial Officer/Controller

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as the Chief Financial Officer/Controller.
Requirements:
· MBA in Accounting & Finance is a must, a CPA license is helpful
· 10+ years of experience as a CFO with job cost accounting experience, preferably in a residential, utility construction and real estate development environment
· An expert understanding of finance, depreciation and accounting principles with job cost accounting, and financial analysis is essential. This includes proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
· Must be highly analytical, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends to make informed decisions
· Must have a strong understanding of the broader business environment in which the organization operates. This includes knowledge of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities
· Experience with ComputerEase, Quickbooks, and Caselle is helpful
· Valid Driver License and dependable transportation
· Must pass a pre-employment and random drug screenings.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
· Develop and oversee financial plans and strategies aligned with Marriott Companies goals.
· Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, predict upcoming trends, and offer valuable insights to facilitate well-informed decision-making.
· Oversee and manage all the companies daily financial functions, managing budgets and cash flow, optimize capital structure and ensure the effective utilization of financial resources to enhance profitability and drive growth.
· Responsible for identifying, assessing and managing financial risks facing the companies. This includes identifying potential risks, establishing risk mitigation strategies, internal auditing, financial oversight and internal control systems and assure strict adherence to the controls to safeguard company assets and ensuring compliance to regulatory guidelines and reporting standards.
· Engage with investors, partners, affiliates and stakeholders, present financial performance, growth opportunities and strategies.
· Oversee capital allocation decisions balancing the need for investment in innovation, expansion and return on investment for partners, affiliates and shareholders.
· Contributes to major decisions by evaluating financial implications and providing insights into potential risks and rewards.
· Participate in strategic planning session and capital investment decisions.
· Work with the Executive Board to create and update the financial structure and accounting systems, such as integrating new software.
· Oversee and manage all aspects of Marriott Companies daily accounting and financial reporting functions including A/P, A/R, Cash Receipting, Payroll, etc. as well as preparing accurate financials for the Companies with strict adherence to deadlines.
· Comply with all local, state, and federal tax filings and reporting requirements.
· Make accounting rulings based on US GAAP and account for company transactions accordingly.
· Identify, create, implement, and advise the Executive Board and team as to new ways to improve and streamline the accounting processes and facilitate the achievement of the Companies short-term goals and long-term objectives.
· Calculate or estimate withholdings, tax payments, etc and submissions.
· Identity and correct any accounting discrepancies and errors as needed and conduct training with the accounting team so they understand how to identify issues and make necessary corrections in the work they are performing as needed.
· Prepare year-end financials for tax accountant and needed financing requirements.
· Prepare annual renewal of insurance policies and benefits, as well as audits and reporting requirements.
· Review and sign checks and draws.
· Manage all banking transactions, transfers, loans and relationships with lenders and provide necessary information to obtain outside funding and investment opportunities as needed.
· Review, advise, and coordinate with the Executive Board and other staff on all contracts of the companies, compliance and insurance maintenance and renewals.
· Maintain accurate accounting files and reports in Dropbox.
· Coordinate with all other departments as needed.
· Attend regular 1:1 meeting with the Executive Board and accounting staff.
· All other tasks as assigned by the Executive Board.
