Horizon Roofing is looking for an organized, customer-oriented, and professional individual to join our growing company as a Accounting Clerk/Contract Administration in our Accounting Department. This employee is responsible for coordinating documents for all commercial roofing projects including but not limited to: original contracts, change orders, subcontractor agreements, invoices, lien waivers, and billing. Strong organizational, accounting, and time management skills are a must in this position as you will be asked to perform daily tasks with a high level of attention to detail and maintain deadlines.

WHO IS THIS POSITION FOR

Essentially, this position is for someone who has a background in accounting, can think critically, and is incredibly detail-oriented, never letting things fall through the cracks.

This position requires a strong understanding of accounting methods and knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Additional requirements include a strong commitment to completing tasks on time, rockstar organization skills, and the ability to talk to Horizon Roofing customers daily. The person in this position will take their work seriously, work diligently to ensure our customers are happy and tackle problems head-on.

For the Job Coordinator position, an associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, as well as a background using Sage Accounting Software is preferred.

Job Duties Include but not limited to:

  • Compile and organize all documents necessary for job folders according to company procedures for easy access for estimators and management.
  • Track all necessary documentation including but not limited to: original contracts, change orders, subcontractor agreements, invoices, lien waivers, and billing.
  • Meet with estimators to determine the percentage of billing each month on a timely basis.
  • Follow up with contractors and other companies for prompt payment of amounts due to the company.
  • Maintain Accounts Payable weekly by: compiling and sorting invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions, entering transactions into the system, disbursing invoices to management for approval, selecting invoices for payment, and generating checks.
  • Audit invoices against purchase orders and research discrepancies.
  • Responsible for Service Department Accounting
  • Backup Service Dispatcher when they are out of office
  • Handle incoming calls and either answer customer’s questions or direct the call to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain vehicle records, including titles, tabs, and insurance.
  • Collect credit card receipts from employees who have company cards and match the slips to statements for proper documentation monthly.
  • Monitor, organize, and order office supplies as needed.
  • Monitor the accounting email address and answer questions as they are received, delete unnecessary emails, and disseminate to the proper personnel emails to be handled by someone else daily.

Pre-Employment Screening: Physical, Drug Screening, and Background check required. Must have a valid driver’s license.

The rate of pay is based on experience and ranges from $21 to $23/hour depending on experience.
