Our client is a global apparel/fashion company. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our client’s Finance team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$55k – $65k (DOE)
Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and accurate management of our client’s accounts receivable processes within the dynamic fashion industry.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Coordinator:
Invoice generation: Create and distribute accurate and timely customer invoices in accordance with sales orders and contracts. Ensure invoices reflect brand standards and are presented professionally.
Payment processing: Record and apply customer payments promptly and accurately. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and issues with a keen eye for detail. Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, especially in the context of fashion retail cycles. Proactively engage with customers to secure timely payments, understanding the nuances of the fashion industry.
Reconciliation and reporting: Reconcile customer accounts, addressing any discrepancies related to returns or adjustments. Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, providing insights into customer payment trends. Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to enhance the overall customer experience.
Process enhancement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, especially in the context of the fashion/apparel industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for efficient accounts receivable operations.
Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Coordinator:
Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Coordinator in the fashion or apparel industry would be preferred.
Familiarity with the unique billing and payment dynamics of fashion retail.
Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy in financial transactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
