Simco Ion, an ITW company, is looking to add an Accounting/ FP&A Manager to join our team of professionals. As the Accounting/FP&A Manager, your responsibilities will be to supervise and monitor the day-to-day accounting tasks and activities and will deliver timely and accurate financial statements. The Accounting/ FP&A Manager’s responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. The Accounting/ FP&A Manager will also be responsible for supporting our Technology Business Unit with all FP&A activities and reporting requirements to meet our monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements. The Accounting/FP&A Manager will be accountable for driving team performance, and supporting the growth of our individual contributors and will report to the Controller.

Daily Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

* Manage monthly, quarterly, and end-year process

* Accounts payable/receivable

* Cash receipts

* General ledger

* Payroll and utilities

* Forecasting and budgeting

* Revenue and expenditure variance analysis

* Capital assets reconciliations

* Check runs and daily cash activities

* Fixed asset activity and reconciliations

* Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

* Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

* Coordinate and complete audits

* Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements

* Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

* Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy

* Meet financial accounting objectives

* Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

* Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
