Accounts Payable Clerk – Morrisville NC

Job Summary:

Our client located in Morrisville, NC is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments are made. This is a 6-month contract to hire position and does not offer sponsorship or C2C.

Work Location:

Flexible office work environment situated in the Morrisville, NC office or performed remotely.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this position is: $55-60K ($22-$28hr contract). Range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws

Responsibilities:

Process and verify supplier invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Code invoices and track expenses in accordance with the company’s accounting system.
Maintain vendor files and ensure all necessary information is up-to-date.
Reconcile accounts payable statements monthly.
Prepare checks and initiate electronic payments to vendors.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status.
Assist with month-end closing procedures.
Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
