The Senior Financial Analyst-Advanced Electronic Payments Reconciliation will work in the General Accounting (GA) division of the SSC. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical skills. Candidate must also possess the ability to interact and communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization. Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships. Acquires and analyzes data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems. Provides timely and helpful information to others across the organization. Position is part of the Electronic Reconciliations team and will cross-train and provide cross department support. Maintains a positive attitude, forward-thinking approach and persists in accomplishing objectives despite troubling circumstances or setbacks. Model high standards of honesty and integrity.

Position interacts frequently with Disaster Finance, Service to Armed Forces (SAF) Customer Care, multiple SSC departments and department utilized volunteers.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Pull and load reports into reconciliation system from multiple source systems
Process electronic reconciliations for CAC and EFT disaster assistance
Compile and submit monthly sales tax data files to outside vendor for tax reporting preparation
Prepare sales tax reconciliations of reported sales tax data through manual and electronic means
Identify, research, and resolve reconciliation exceptions utilizing multiple corporate systems
Compile and submit monthly sales tax adjustments to outside vendor
Monitor and analyze financial transactions, identifying opportunities for improvement through automation
Prepare daily manual reconciliation of SAF client assistance
Prepare monthly journal entries
Working with the department manager complete an annual review of GA Division SOPs prior to the annual fiscal year audit
Provide information for auditors as requested
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and American Red Cross financial policies

Qualifications: Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent. Applicant must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, audit techniques and automated accounting systems. They must also have five to seven years of accounting experience including general ledger accounting and report preparation. Candidates must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Strong Analytical and Critical thinking skills are a must. Candidate must possess strong digital competencies in a variety of technology tools, including Power BI and other power automation tools. Experience with Oracle, Business Objects and Trintech is preferred.

PAY INFORMATION: The annual salary range for this position is $65,000 – $75,000. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
