What We Are Looking For: We are seeking an experienced manager with 7-10 years experience in financial statement audit, internal controls/OMB A-123, or audit sustainment and remediation services for a US Department of Defense (DoD) Agency. Must have experience leading a team and possess excellent analytical skills, technical leadership ability, and client-facing experience delivering high-level support. Requirements:
US Citizenship (Required).
BA/BS Degree (Required).
CPA required
Seven (7) or more years total experience in the Federal workspace (Required).
Seven (7) or more years of federal government accounting or audit experience (Required).
Experience in conducting Risk Assessments and Internal Control reviews in accordance with the GAO Green Book, OMB Circular A-123, and DoD RMIC guidance.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and written.
Experience reviewing End-to-end (E2E) business processes in a complex DoD environment.
Experience conducting risk identification and assessments, and design and implementation of internal controls.
Experience managing or coordinating a team or workstream, serving as a group leader or coordinator acting as liaison with clients.
Experience in providing financial research and analysis activities, which may include the review of individual project work papers and documentation necessary to support findings.
Must have current or previous experience as a manager at a management consulting firm or IPA directly supporting a U.S. Federal Agency financial management or audit engagement.
Must live in the greater Washington DC region: DC, MD, or VA.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust level clearance (or higher).
This is a remote opportunity that requires a monthly or biweekly office visit Preferred:
CICA, and/or CDFM certification.
Master’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
Ability to deliver on time under pressure with a high level of integrity and flexibility, sense of urgency, attention to detail, and quality standards.
Ability to contribute to the drafting and review of high-quality reports, ensuring findings are accurate, and actions are well-documented in accordance with standards.
Experience supporting a complex inventory management and distribution environment.
Strong time management and organizational skills
