Bookkeeper

A local Erie nonprofit is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Crucial role in maintaining financial transparency and supporting nonprofit operations. Responsibilities

Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries using Fast Fund software.
Budget Management: Assist in budget development and monitoring to ensure financial stability.
Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and donations with proper coding and documentation.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders and funders.
Grant Compliance: Track grant funds and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Audit Support: Assist with annual audit process, providing documentation and addressing findings.
Financial Policies: Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
Tax Reporting: Assist with tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree or five years of accounting experience.
Proficiency in nonprofit accounting software, including Fast Fund, and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Commitment to the organization’s mission and values.

Benefits/Compensation

Direct Hire
Full time, 8am-5pm
Monday through Friday
$40k-$50k/year
Medical, Dental, and Vision

Eligible for 5-10% bonus
