Job Description
The Bank is seeking an experienced candidate to support financial and management reporting for the CIO and COO divisions. Together these divisions are the largest in the Bank by headcount.
Expense Management and cost transparency are key initiatives for the Bank. The ability to accurately track and report in a timely manner is critical, both for our business as usual (BAU) and our Investment spend.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monthly expense forecasting, variance analysis and reporting. Investigate cost drivers and identify savings opportunities
- Track and report project costs vs. budget & forecast; investigate & resolve cost variances and assist with financial presentations
- Validate spend vs. contractual commitments
- Annual budget planning for direct expenses by cost center
- Assist in resource planning and tracking
- Maintain cost allocation rules and monthly charging/reporting
- Prepare for and run meetings as required
The candidate will work directly with project managers, line managers and business stakeholders to understand their cost drivers and ensure costs are properly reflected in the Bank’s financial records. Extensive interaction with the Bank’s FP&A team.
Qualifications
- Accounting certification or MBA/BA in Finance or accounting
- 2- 3 years hands-on experience of management reporting and financial analysis, including Hyperion or similar tools, financial concepts and GAAP reporting.
- Hands on experience of all month end close processes: accruals, prepayments and Fixed Asset accounting
- 2- 3 years’ experience in a fast-moving IT environment with multiple project managers
- (Preferred) Prior experience gained in a PMO role managing/reporting costs on large projects, or as a Project Manager on a large project, or in an IT Finance role.
Compensation
The expected annual salary for this position is between $65,000 and $115,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
