 Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team and play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of CBS Food Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities related to CACFP, NSLP, and SFSP sponsorships, with a primary focus on serving children. The Director of Finance will work closely with leadership to ensure fiscal responsibility, compliance with regulations, and the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals.
    • Conduct regular financial analysis and present findings to leadership.
    • Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate budgeting for CACFP, NSLP, and SFSP child-focused activities.
  2. Budget Management:
    • Oversee the development and monitoring of budgets for CACFP, NSLP, and SFSP child-centric programs.
    • Provide guidance to program managers on budgetary matters and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  3. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present financial reports to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to regulatory bodies.
  4. Compliance:
    • Stay informed about relevant regulations and ensure compliance with CACFP, NSLP, and SFSP guidelines focused on serving children.
    • Work with auditors to facilitate external audits and address any audit findings.
  5. Team Leadership:
    • Manage and lead the finance team, providing guidance and support.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the finance department.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; master’s degree or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in the nonprofit or child-centric food service sector.
  • Familiarity with CACFP, NSLP, and SFSP regulations and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
