Job Overview
The Financial Controller is responsible for securing accurate, compliant, and transparent accounting and reporting for the U.S. Sales & Service Unit (SSU) business . The incumbent will focus strongly on financial statement accuracy, which requires an in-depth knowledge in financial accounting. The incumbent will partner closely with SSU Management and focus on compliance, with internal controls procedures, documents, and team, in order to build quality into our every day accounting processes. Finally, the incumbent will work in select financial transactions, which contribute to overall financial statements and will review the consolidated results with management to secure transparency in our accounting and reporting.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Responsible for Financial reporting for US Sales legal entity
Ensure all activities are compliant with internal control policies and suggest additional controls when needed
External and internal audit support – subject matter expert and point of contact between auditors and other department
Prepares journal entries and assists in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.
Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations and actively participates in monthly balance sheet reviews
Salary and Benefit review process
Accrual and deferral calculation in collaboration with business control
Cash flow Analysis, liquidity forecast, FX reporting
Partners with Getinge’s Shared Service Operations to provide business knowledge and solve accounting issues, acting as a subject matter expert.
Master data, cost center structure, Chart of accounts management, ERP Optimization
Prepare and analyze financial reports by gathering information related to current performance (Net Sales, Order Intake, Open Orders, Cost accounts, Inventory accounting)
Performs analysis of complex data which requires manipulation and recommends alternatives courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools.
Acts as Finance Project Manager and executes on improvement areas as designated by management
Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements and the required action plan.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus.
A minimum 5years of related work experience in Finance and Accounting
SAP Super User (PE1, S/4 Hana)
Experience with Power BI
IFRS Experience

Strong interpersonal skills, with significant evidence of business partnering and leading teams.

Drive efficiency & demonstrate continuous improvement thinking.
Project management
Advanced skills in Microsoft applications – particularly Excel and Power BI but also proficient in Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Supervision/Management of Others:
The position does not supervise or manage other employees.
Internal and External Contacts/Relationships
Follow up with all levels of management to include executive leadership team.
Works with different internal and external departments.
Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions
Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions
May work extended hours during peak business cycles
This is a hybrid position required to work out of the Wayne, NJ headquarters approximately 3 days a week.
The base salary for the position is a minimum of $89,000 and a maximum of $122,000, plus a 10% annual bonus.
