Public Accounting Tax Senior ($100,000 base)

We are seeking a Tax Senior for a full-time position in Wakefield, MA, offering a base salary up to $100K. This hybrid role requires in-office presence on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work on Monday and Friday. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
  • Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and firm resources
  • Work directly with clients to build and maintain relationships
  • Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and tax work papers
  • Conduct tax research projects
  • Communicate with clients and team members regarding project status, client opportunities, and other matters
  • Provide training, direction, and supervision to team members
  • Maintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to industry specialization

 

Qualifications:

  • BSBA in accounting
  • CPA credentials and/or other advanced degree preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in public accounting
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple client projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Working knowledge of accounting and auditing principles
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, ProSystem fx Tax
