			Senior Tax Accountant

New Gig Solutions has partnered with a distinguished full-service accounting firm located in Marietta, GA, with over 20 years of expertise in delivering comprehensive accounting and tax solutions to a diverse clientele across all 50 states. Our client specializes in new business formation, accounting, tax, payroll, consulting, and human resources.
Responsibilities
- Support client onboarding processes for all assigned engagements, ensuring adherence to defined procedures.
 - Execute tasks related to accounts payable/receivable management, bookkeeping entries, monthly book closings, financial reporting, and analysis. Duties may also include payroll and special projects as assigned.
 - Apply a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices, including preparing Depreciation Schedules, Sales Journals, Sales Tax Returns, and reconciling Payroll Records and Employment Tax Returns.
 - Conduct detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
 - Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
 - Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
 - Prepare and file Corporate and Individual Income Tax Returns, including annual 1099s and tax returns.
 - Experience with tax preparation and research software Ultra Tax /Accounting SAP
 - Research complex tax issues and identify viable solutions.
 - Assist with research projects and the preparation of financial reports as needed.
 
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
 - CPA License preferred but not required.
 - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, audit, and/or tax. Experience with USGAAP is a plus
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
 - Experience with accounting software systems is a plus.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Ability to conduct sophisticated analysis of complex data.
