Position Summary

Acuren is looking for a Vice President of Finance. The position is responsible to formulate and implement financial plans and policies and ensures accurate forecasting of business activity for the US business. The position provides oversight to the accounting and administrative teams and is responsible for budgeting, accounting, payables, revenue assurance, risk management, financial reporting, acquisition due diligence, and credit and provides functional support and expertise to operations.

Responsibilities

Providing accounting and financial leadership by:

* Directing regional controllers and other direct reports to ensure the appropriate handling of all financial ledgers for the company, financial reporting, capital budgeting and expenditures.

* As Country Controller; ensure each region carries out day to day financial activities in alignment with organizational procedures and guidelines, and internal controls.

* Work closely with each regional controller to develop and implement business plans.

* Identifying, communicating and resolving deficiencies related to internal control processes.

* Oversee the effective completion of month end close activities.

* Ensure regional controllers support administrative staff to ensure appropriate data input, financial record-keeping, information system utilization and management reporting.

* Establish effective cost controls and leading cost reduction initiatives related to such areas as capital spending programs, labor management, field expense control, and overhead costs.

* Track and measure business profitability.

Establishing processes to identify, evaluate, and manage risks that impact the business including:

* Ensure national compliance with standard accounting practices and regulatory requirements.

* Establish and communicate the use of financial and operating metrics that provide feedback on performance against initiatives.

* Assess commercial risk associated with customer contracts and pricing and consulting with operations over new rates and pricing terms.

* Respond to and facilitating external audits and year-end reviews.

* Ensuring a system of continuously improved management cost reports.

Supporting the efficient and professional delivery of services by:

* Leading and mentoring a team of finance professionals to provide timely and accurate support to the regional team.

* Hiring, retaining and managing the performance of direct reports.

* Providing ongoing training to support staff growth and development.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university, preferably in Finance; MBA.

* At least 7-12 years years of accounting and financial control experience in an industrial, engineering, heavy construction or manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 8 years of managerial experience. Private and or Public equity experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar type of business with a service-driven .business model.

* Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines and adjust priorities as required.

* Proficiency in various software applications and statistical analysis tools and concepts. Advanced trouble shooting of systems and problems and resolution of information discrepancies.

Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting and auditing principles.

* Thorough understanding of department-specific processes and practices.

* Competence in the application of manual and automated accounting control systems.

* Thorough understanding of organizational/regional priorities and necessary financial program supports.
